National Sewing Month

Above logo shamelessly taken from here.

Yes! A whole month dedicated to one of my favorite past-times.

Now this is something I can get behind, on top of, under, and into. In other words, I'm all over it. HA!

So far I've got 21 projects lined up for September. Some of them are small, quick, and easy. Some are bigger and will take a couple of days. I'm shooting for sewing at least 30 minutes a day and more if I can squeeze it in. (Danged homework!)

These sewing projects are going to be all over the place, kind of like my mind. In other words, it's not just going to be quilts or aprons.

I'm off to oil machines, find fabric, and make sure I have plenty of needles and thread. I should probably vacuum the sewing room while I'm at it.

See you Monday!

I'm with you!! I have a bunch of small and not-so-small projects planned and would like to get quite a few things crossed off of my To Do list, so I'm going to try to make September a very productive month! 21 items sounds like a lofty goal - I'm pretty sure I can find 21 items to work on, so I can keep up with you :D

P.S. I may have to count a set of 4 placemats as 4 projects tho, LOL! ;)

In honor of National Sewing Month, I bought (are you sitting down???) $170 worth of fabric today. Oh, yeah, it was out of control. It felt soooo good.

Ack! $170? I'd love to see what you bought. Pictures, we need pictures.

Sounds like a fun month ahead! I love sewing too, I need to do more of it instead of sitting on the couch with my laptop.

I love this idea, might just give me the kick start I need, where do I sign up or at least read about it and pass it along?

Hi! Sue sent me. See above. I'm getting ready for a craft fair and haven't made much that's sewn yet. I also have some mending, some doll dresses and a couple of aprons to make. Hmmm...Christmas?

This should give me just the motivation I need. I'll try for at least 30 minutes a day, too. It's late tonight; so I'll start tomorrow.

God bless!

Happy sewing!

P.S. I'll post my projects on my blog as I finish them!
Put me on your check it out list!
