Latest acquisitions

The best bargain of the day. This Pyrex flask sells for anywhere between $145 and $160. We use them in chemistry lab and have a very real fear of breaking one and having to pay for it. I'm going to use it to root plants.

Remember hankie babies? I had one when I was little.

6 yards of this fabric.

Dritz skirt marker. It looks brand new.

A smock apron with huge pockets and buttons in the back.

That flask looks like something you'd use to milk a cow! lol What neat finds, you have way better thrift stores than me!

aunt jo,
I agree with Sue, I thought "cows" when I first saw it HA.
Nothing like a good day at the thrift.
What happened to the cards that your Grandma had that you said you used to play with? Hope someone kept them.

Awww.. my mom had a hem marker like that. I remember torturous hem marking sessions where I couldn't stand still enough for her to mark the hem all the way 'round. The ending mark was always a different length as the starting mark. Then we had to do it all over again!

Sue, the cows thing didn't click with me at first, but now I get it.

Nancy Jo, my mom has the cards and someday I'll have them.

Annie, I remember the hem marking torture too.

Beemoosie, isn't it a great apron?
