Last night about 11:30 I was in the sewing room, just sewing up a storm, and out of the corner of my eye I caught a flash of something at the window. I stood up and walked over to the window and low and behold, there was a face looking back at me.
My heart lurched and I think I might have wet myself. I was being peeped! I grabbed my phone and when I looked up he was gone.
And then I got to wondering...was he really up to no good or did he just want to see what the basement looked like?
You see, that's something I would do. If I saw a house with only basement lights on and could see in, I just might look. Yes, it's true. I'm a peeper. Of course if I actually saw a person I'd probably hurt myself running away.
I called my husband in NM this morning and told him I'd been peeped. Whoo boy! He flipped his lid and started yelling.
Evidently Oklahoma had a little problem keeping up with a couple of inmates the last few days. One had been found, but one was still running around loose. He couldn't believe I hadn't heard about it since I'd been out and about in the car. How did I feel about a convict peeping me? Surely I'd listened to the radio.
Uh, nope. While I was out running to and fro, I was rockin' to Vivaldi. He hung up on me.
I'm not afraid of a peeping Tom. I figure if he sees me naked and goes blind, well then he got what he deserved.

Give-away update: 14 humans, 12 cats, 2 dogs have signed up. Annie, get your cats!
Ahem. I added three sets of knitting needles, a package of point protectors, a little bag of lace trims, and a how-to book today.
Tomorrow I'm going through another couple of boxes and putting duplicates in the give-away.
This is going to be big. Very, very big.

Without a doubt I would have peed myself AND I would have stomped my feet and screamed.
I didn't know there were escapees running around Oklahoma either.
LOL!
They caught the first one in Hinton, hiding in the back of a truck.
Here's what the news said about the other one.
Escapee caught in Beckham County
Authorities in Western Oklahoma last night captured an escapee from Nevada who fled from a transport company at a rest stop near Sayre Tuesday night. Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper says **bad, bad man** was taken into custody by the Beckham Country Sheriff's Dept. along U.S. 283. Authorities say **bad man** and five other inmates were being transported by the private company, but only one guard was accompanying the group and none of the prisoners were restrained by shackles.
Five inmates, one guard, and no shackles. Hell, I might have tried it too.
Oh my goodness this isn't funny, but I have tears coming out my eyes laughing at you telling this! You are something else girl!
My son likes to come in the back way from his buddies house and stick his face up to the window of my sewing room....I have grey hairs popping out!
Oh my gosh, I would have peed my pants and dropped dead right there...Yikes! Glad you are ok. Wendy
Whoa! I would have had a fit, probably called the police too. Take care of yourself, OK?
Please tell me you're kidding. They'd have to pry me out from under the bed .... Yikes!
